This body of work encompasses my practice with found and repurposed materials, often unified by a deep connection to the desert landscape. While many pieces are created from objects discovered in and inspired by the desert—weathered wood, rusted metal, and sun-bleached remnants that speak to the region’s resilience and stark beauty—I also incorporate materials found in many other places. By transforming discarded objects from a variety of environments into art, I reflect on cycles of decay and renewal, and invite viewers to consider both the creative possibilities of what we leave behind and the stories embedded in the objects themselves.
