Women are historically often the apologists, sometimes as a result of gaslighting by the patriarchy, women have been victims of buying into the fallacy that women are not the important ones in the rooms of those with power. Women apologize for being assertive, or even appropriately aggressive, for taking up space. Current generations of women are no longer buying into that misogynistic myth, and are no longer apologizing for taking up space. This piece shows an outdated belief system slowing fading into the background, leaving the future open for new growth in all areas of life where women are now unapologetic.
